BOOKSTORE:

If you did not return your textbooks during book return you can return them next week before or after school to room 1202. If you do not return your books by Wednesday you will be fined $3 per book not returned. 

 

Cross Country

Anyone interested in running cross-country next year, there will informational meeting on Monday, May 22 @ 3:00 in room 908.

 

Black Student Union

Those current members and those interested in joining for next year, we will have a meeting Monday, May 22nd after school at 2:45 to discuss next year and, some new items we would like to do. We will meet in Mrs. Grader's room 15-213

 

  

Sophomores

Those that are currently enrolled in AP US History for next year with Mrs. Grader - if you did NOT attend the meeting on Thursday, May 18th you need to come in Monday after school in room 15-213 to receive your AP US History summer assignment.  

 

AP US History

AP US History- those sophomores signed up to take AP US History with Mrs. Grader next year- you must come pick up your summer assignment from my room Tuesday the 23rd before school or Wednesday the 24th before school

AP WORLD

Attention freshman signed up for AP World History next year!  You have a mandatory meeting on Friday either before or after school in room 15-208.  You will be discussing your summer assignment.  If you are unable to attend, please see Ms. Gima in room 15-208. 

 

Drivers ED

The Driver Ed. class is now full for this summer. Class will be in Building 7 in Room 704. Classes will be on May 30 ,31 and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon each day. You need to bring a pen or pencil to class each day. You must complete all 12 hour of class instruction before doing Behind-the-Wheel . See you on May 30 at 8:00 a.m.

AP US History-Sophomores

Those that are enrolled in AP US History next year with Mrs. Grader, you have a MANDATORY meeting Thursday, May 18th at 7:25 a.m. OR at 2:45 pm in Room 15-213 (Mrs. Grader's room). We will be discussing your summer assignment, discussing required materials and important information for next school year. Bookstore

SENIORS! You must have your textbooks turned in and fines paid no later than Thursday, after school in order to pick up your cap, gown and graduation tickets. The bookstore will be closed before school and during lunch on Thursday so you will need to pay your fines today or after school tomorrow. Books can be returned to the bookstore today or room 1202 tomorrow. Attention HAWKS: Yearbook distribution will begin TODAY in room 1202 AFTER school. If you pre-ordered a yearbook, please bring your ID to room 1202 after school to receive your yearbook. If you have not purchased a yearbook, you can still purchase one at the bookstore for $65. Any books purchased after May 5th WILL require you to show a receipt in order to receive your copy. All books checked out from the library are due on May 8!  The last day for book checkout is May 5.  As of today, we have 84 overdue books so please return or renew your books as soon as possible!

 

Counseling-Relay for Life


Students and Faculty, Relay for Life is this Saturday starting at 6pm on the Apollo track.
 It is free for everyone. There will be booths, activities, and yummy stuff to eat. Come out and support student council and key club as we walk the track all night because cancer never sleeps. Help us raise money for American Cancer Society. Visitors (not on a team) can stay until midnight.

Good luck to Apollo's 13 DECA competitors as they fly to California to compete against the best business students in the US and Internationally.  Our Hawks are competing in a wide range of events such as Buying and Merchandising, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Apparel and Accessories Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Hotel Management.  There are more than $10,000 in prizes at stake, GO HAWKS, get that money!

FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS

 Are you interested in playing sports during the summer or next school year? Do you want to get your physical done for FREE?  You’re in luck! On Saturday, April 1, 2017 we will have our annual Free Sports Physicals at Sunnyslope. The bus leaves at 7:30AM so make sure you get here bright and early! While you are completing your physical at Sunnyslope, your parents will be in the Apollo Media Center completing the registration process for Register My Athlete, our new online program for athletic paperwork. Dance Show

"Come to the Annual District Dance Show at Greenway High School this Friday, March 31st to support our amazing Apollo Dancers. There are 2 shows:  5pm and 7:30pm.  Tickets go on sale at 4pm for the 1st show and 6:30pm for the 2nd show at Greenway, and tickets are $5. Our performance company will be performing our award-winning dance, so we hope you can make it out to see a wonderful night of dance!"

 

Physical & Swimming

April 1st, Saturday:  Free Athletic Physicals at Sunnyslope.  The buses leave Apollo at 7:45am to arrive at Sunnyslope for the physicals, which will be beginning at 8:15am.  These physicals are good for next school year. Physicals are required before you can participate in summer swim and the regular swim season. The physicals are open to any current Apollo student and any incoming freshman. See Coach Nabor or the athletic secretary in the front office to pick-up the paperwork.

 

Drivers Ed

The fourth Dr. Ed. session will began this Saturday, April 1. The class will be from 8:00 a.m. to noon and will meet in Room 704 in Building 7.  Bring a pencil or pen to write with. Be on time and get rested up for a long session.  Also, be aware students can start registering for the final session of this school year. May 30, 31 and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. to noon each day. Afterwards the behind - the wheel instruction will begin.
