 Our meeting this Thursday will be in Ms. Negrete's room, room 605. Come to the meeting this Thursday for activities and T-Shirt orders. We will be ordering this year's shirts, and we need your shirt size to add to the order.

Drivers Ed

Students interested in Drivers Education for the October session need to register with the Moon Valley bookstore by October 20th. Contact the Moon Valley bookstore at 623-915-8019.  Students must have a valid permit or driver’s license in order to take the class.  Students also need to participate in all 4 classes and then receive 6 hours behind the wheel instruction in order to pass the class.  The deadline for students interested in drivers education need to be registered by Friday, October 20th.  Classes begin the Saturday you return from Fall Break. 

 

Academic Decathlon

Picture Retakes

Faculty and students: picture retakes will be held in the Big Hawk room TODAY until 12:30. If you did not have your photo taken on picture day or you would like to have your picture re-taken, please go to the Big Hawk room during lunch.

 

Senior Portraits

SENIORS: If you have not had your senior portrait taken for the yearbook, please visit the Big Hawk room during lunch TODAY to have your picture taken. Any student who is photographed in the studio after Oct. 7th will NOT be included in the yearbook!

Every month the Honors and Awards Committee nominates a Rotary student.  This student represents our school, competing in a number of areas including academic leadership in school, civic and other extra-curricular activities, and motivation to serve and succeed in all endeavors. 

So for the month of October Deshawn Davis has been selected to represent Apollo High School as our rotary nominee.  Everyone congratulate him!

Girls & Boys Cross Country

Good morning Hawks, your girls and boys cross-country teams did a splendid job yesterday. They ran in the District Classic Meet.  The medalist for the girls was Sarae Morales. On the boys side, there were the four freshmen medalist of Ivan Gonzalez, Miguel Pichardo, Raymundo Aguirre, and Angel Ordaz Perez. In the varsity boys race, medals went to Saul Valdez and David Ordaz Perez. The rest of the girls and boys ran great races. Have a grand day Apollo.
