College Club
The College Club will be meeting Wednesday, Sept. 26 in the Big Hawk room at 8:20 AM, during learning center. This month we will be focusing on the college application; your first step toward college. Career Center
This week’s Scholarship of the Week is the “Niche No Essay Scholarship”. The deadline is September 30th, 2018. Visit the Career Center for more information.

Swim Team
Swimmers and Divers: Team pictures are today! Be dressed and ready to go immediately after school. Practice will follow.

Cultural Awareness
Cultural Awareness is meeting tomorrow in 15-208, the second floor of the Media Center. We are creating our signs and helping with the float for Homecoming. Remember to bring snacks and food! See you tomorrow! Everyone is welcome.

Media Center
The media center will be CLOSED after school today in order to prepare for hearing and vision testing tomorrow. We will be closed all day tomorrow but plan to reopen after school.

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Girls badminton team. The ladies smashed their way to a victory yesterday over Cortez High. The Hawks soared over the Colts 6-3. Your coaches are very proud of you.

Counseling Dept.
To all students who have enrolled in Dual Enrollment classes, payment is due to Glendale Community College by close of today. Payment can be made on-line or at the college.

Juniors and Seniors do you need money for college? If so, please attend the Scholarship Financial Aid presentation tonight at 7pm in the Auditorium. Parents are invited. In fact they can go if you can’t go. It could be worth extra credit in your US History or Government classes for you or your parent to attend.

Attention All Students! Those students that have not turned in a free and reduce lunch application this school year will need to do so as soon as possible.
Last years, applications will expire on Monday the 17th. If one is not turned in, your account will become full pay.
Also, when you are done eating, please clean up your trash. Do not leave it on the tables.

Cross Country

The cross country teams did a splendid job yesterday. The boys defeated Dysart, La Joya, Agua Fria and Centennial. Saul Valdez, Jose Navarro, and David Ordaz placed first, second and third in the race. On the girls’ side, Sarae Morales was third and Ti’Zhona Bundy was 8th. Great Job Hawks.

Driver’s Ed

Accuplacer Test

If you play Rocket League, the Apollo Gamers Club wants you.  We will be fielding an e-sports team and are looking for players!  Come to the media center after school today if you are interested in joining Apollo's inaugural Rocket League teams!

The College Club is back! SENIORS! Come to the College Club Meeting in the Big Hawk conference room 300 at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday. We will be looking at where you are and where you should be if your post secondary plans include any type of education.

Dual Enrollment: The Accuplacer Writing Test will be held Monday, August 27th  and the Math Test will be held Tuesday, August 28th in the Media Center, starting promptly at 2:45pm.  You must show your state or school identification the day of the test. If you have not signed up for a library lunch pass or received your ID sticker, please make sure you come to the media center as soon as possible to take care of it.  You must have your ID and sticker to come into the library at lunch!

The bookstore is now printing student ID's before school, after school and during lunch. The bookstores hours are 7:30am-3:00pm, closed from 1pm-2pm for lunch. Please have your ID's and money out to help make the transaction quicker.
